Immanuel Lutheran Chapel held its first service in May, 2021, as things were starting to open up after the COVID pandemic. Weekly services are conducted at 2:00 on Sunday afternoons in the “red building” adjacent to the office of the Central Illinois District of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod, in northwest Springfield, near the corner of North Grand and Bruns Lane.
Immanuel Lutheran Chapel is, at present, a ministry of Immanuel Lutheran Church in northeast Springfield, the Rev. Adam Rouse, pastor. With the help of other Lutherans in Springfield, Immanuel is attempting to serve northwest Springfield with the life-giving Gospel of Jesus Christ. We dare to look forward to the day when a new congregation develops as people gather around God’s Word.
